Custom Cabinetmakers, Woodworking, & More
Years of Renovation Experience Gathered Under One Roof…
Wolf Creative is the culmination of many years worth of construction projects, custom cabinet creations, countless bids and proposals, pounds of nails and screws, buckets of paint, and several worn down pairs of steel-toed work boots. It’s a custom cabinet shop, home renovation business, and an opportunity to make whatever you can dream up a reality.
Owner John Fimmano has over two decades in the home renovation industry, having created PMR Property Maintenance and Construction as a way to serve his neighbors and other local property owners throughout the greater Portland area.
In recent years, he took over operations of the long-standing custom cabinet business Wolf & Son Cabinetmakers, creating high-quality cabinetry perfectly handcrafted to fit any space.
Wolf Creative brings both of these businesses under one roof, blending their specific skill sets to help you create spaces that not only look beautiful, but are unique to you and your home.
What Makes Fully Custom Cabinets Worth It?
When it comes to your home, not all cabinetry is created equal. Prefabricated cabinets are massed produced to general standards and often use cheaper materials and hardware to keep costs down. Even semi-custom cabinets are limited by materials and dimensions that manufactures know will fit most homes, leaving you to figure out how to make them work in your space.
Fully custom cabinets offer the most flexibility in terms of space requirements, design choices, and finish options:
We are not confined by any restraints or standard sizes. We have the ability to adjust and build the exact dimensions that are needed for the desired outcome.
The same craftsman working with you on the design is the same craftsman building and installing the products. It’s all included in the scope and there is no need to hire another contractor to do the install.
We make everything by hand here in our shop without CNC machines.
We hand pick all of our material and mill our own lumber from rough cut slabs to S4S finished material.
When it comes to wood tones, we grain match all of our doors, drawers, panels, rails, and stiles.
All casework is built with ¾” A1 grade Domestic pre finished Maple plywood, with full tops on all our boxes and ½'“ inch back panels . There is no ¼” inch material in the case work except toe kick skins.
All casework is built with rabbit joints, dados and screws, ensuring a structurally secure product.
All drawer boxes are built with 5/8” plywood and ½” bottoms, constructed with rabbit joints and dados.
We offer many different finish options, including water-based, conversion varnish, 2K polly, or paint in several finishes.
All cabinets included top of the line Salice hardware, hinges, and Salice Progressa drawer slides.
